Do Houseworks

Nowadays, Shenny always asks mommy to let her help in houseworks.

At home, mommy only allows Shenny to wipe tables.

If she wipes table, she will first wipe coffee table, her chair and computer table.

It happened once that mommy caught Shenny used the same cloth she used to wipe tables to wipe her foot, then she continued to wipe tables all over again. Gosh! it was so disgusting when mommy saw this. Ha...she is playing more than helping.

Mommy also thinking to let Shenny to mop floor at home, but mommy could not find the proper size of mop for her.

Ha..Shenny was so excited to find grandmother's house had a mop that suite her size.

Drawings for 'Shuk Shuk' & 'Ku Ku'

Shenny always says she misses her 'shuk shuk' (叔叔 means uncle in cantonese language) and 'ku ku' (姑姑 means aunty and she is papa's sister) very much.

She had drawn these two pictures three months ago but mommy forgot to upload them in her blog.

These pictures were sent by hand to her 'shuk shuk' and 'ku ku' in The Netherlands already.


Shenny does not forget to remind her 'shuk shuk' to stop smoking in the picture. She says it in dutch (Niet Roken)..


In this picture, Shenny drew a bird sing songs for her 'ku ku' and 'shuk shuk'. And she purposely colored the heart in rainbow color, mean 'ku ku" is happy.

How to catch a Fly with a Spoon

This incident occurred one month ago but mommy forgot to mention it in Shenny's blog. Today, mommy's boss reminded mommy to do it.

One day, Shenny and mommy went to have lunch in a restaurant. We ordered wantan noodle and chicken rice separately. Shenny's order came first and she began to eat her noodle. Mommy's chicken rice came later. It came with a bowl of hot soup.

When we were busy eating, a fly flying around our food. Shenny found it very irritating, and she lifted her spoon to hit the fly. Amazingly, she 'bingo' on it and the fly fell into the hot soup and died instantly.

Mommy has shared this interesting incident with her aunties, cousins and teachers. Everyone had a good laugh on it.

Since this incident, Shenny felt so much proud of herself because she is the fly killer champion in the family.

Self-made spectacles

Last Friday, Shenny was in the mood to make herself a pair of paper spectacles while mommy and papa were busy packing to go back Alor Star to celebrate Chinese New Year.

Mommy is happy for Shenny could always find something to do to keep herself busy. As long as she does not make a big mess in the house, mommy is ok for her to do anything.

After she had successfully made a pair of spectacles, she wore it and wanted her papa to take photos.

Keyboard Lessons Update (2)

Shenny has started her keyboard lesson through Musikgarten programme since November 2009 (three months already). Mommy would like to do some updates.

Shenny likes her music lesson very much and she wishes that she has the music class everyday.

Mommy is very happy with Shenny's progress so far. She does not need mommy to ask her to practice her songs. She will practice herself everyday.
Actually, she does not need to spend long time to practice. She only spends five or ten minutes to play her songs each time. And she does it few times in a day. Mommy thinks that she really likes music. Mommy hopes that her music enthusiasm can persist for very long time.

Mommy would like to share some little songs which Shenny were taught in the class.

For these 3 months, her music teacher has taught her 6 songs, and here mommy only manages to upload 4 songs only.

Ode to Joy

On Facebook

My niece, Zhii Zhii and nephew, Hong Hong came to stay with us over the weekends because their parents had to go back hometown to attend a wedding. Of course, Shenny was very excited because she could play with them.
Zhii2 and Hong2 took this opportunity to spent time at computer...playing one of facebook's game - Restaurant. At home, their mother restricted them to do so.
Since we have two computers at home, so each of them could occupy one. Then Shenny sat with them and learnt with them on how to play the "Restaurant" game. Occassionally, Shenny also got chance to help them out to play the game when one of them need to do other things eg. taking shower, toilet and etc..
There are two parts which mommy remember how Shenny help them:
1) Shenny helped to click to visit each Zhii2's friend house, if Shenny saw cases like fire, water leaking and etc, she could click on them to earn points.
2) Shenny helped Hong2 to buy lots of accessories which spent more than 2000 points. When Hong2 came back to see his game..he was shocked and said "aiyo, Shenny spent most of my points, now I only have 600 points left."

Zhii Zhii made a good suggestion to mommy, "Er Yi (二姨), why not open a facebook account for Shenny since she loves to play the game"
Mommy laughed and said "Open a facebook account for a 4 year old child, you must be kidding."

Till now, mommy hasn't decided to create a facebook account for Shenny yet.

Christmas Present and Cutting

Aunty Yee Wah from The Netherlands gave Shenny an Advent Calendar and some bracelets as christmas presents when her visit to Malaysia early December last year (2009).


Advent Calendar - Shenny gotta chance to eat chocolates almost every day before Christmas. She would unseal each box inside the calendar each day according to date, to take out the chocolate and eat.

Bracelets - Shenny would ask mommy to let her wear the bracelet if she remembers before go out

On the back of advent calendar, there are some princess pictures. Shenny told mommy that she would like to cut out those princess pictures when the chocolates are finished.
Finally, Shenny finished all 24 days of mini chocolates on 9th January 2010. When mommy was about to throw away the advent calendar, Shenny quickly reminded mommy about the pictures at the back. So, mommy kept that for her.

On next day of Sunday morning, Shenny asked permission to cut the princess pictures. Then mommy let her do it. After a while, Shenny suddenly came to mommy and said "Mommy, I accidentally cut my dress." But mommy was not agree with her excuses and asked her "How come? Can you tell me how did you accidentally cut your dress?" Then Shenny began to cry and could not answer.
Then, mommy told her "Let me take the picture and show Chii Chii jie jie since the dress is from her. I think she would be very upset." Shenny just kept on crying. Mommy saw her eyes with tears and could not continue to question her anymore. So, mommy could not tell whether she did it on purpose or really accident as she claimed...OO;

Later on, mommy asked Shenny "Do you want to continue cutting?" She replied "Don't want. My hand is sore."

Gift to Grandma 61st Birthday

Below was a picture drawn by Shenny and this was given to her grandma in her 61st birthday as present. Her grandma was happy and surprise to receive this from her because Shenny was the only one did this among all her grandchildren. Therefore, mommy would like to keep a log of this special gift in Shenny's blog.

Shenny not only drew the picture and she also made a little pocket behind this picture to keep a candy for her grandma. Mommy forgot to take photo of that.



Mommy asked Shenny to explain about her picture, after she had completed drawing and writing all the greeting words.

Her explanation was as below:

1. A bird was singing a song.
2. Her favourite cousin (Emily jie jie) in pink was dancing beside grandma.
3. Her grandma (in middle) was happily playing a ball.
4. Shenny was hiding in a cage and there is a worm crawling on top of the cage. (Mommy asked her why she wanted to hide in the cage, she said just for fun.)
5. She gave a ladder and a pig for her grandma. (Shenny couldn't explain this, but mommy think the ladder might mean in chinese : 步步高升 "blossom in everything" )
