It was 7 months since Shenny began her keyboard lesson through Musikgarten Programme. She now could play more than 10 songs.

Earlier Shenny could play first half the song, mommy has posted it earlier: Keyboard Lessons Update (2). Surprisingly she figures out herself to play the rest of song after listening few times to the song.

wow..bravo to Shenny. Good to let them learn some extra skill. I wanted to let both kids learn music but hubby and in-laws against the idea. They said waste $$$$

I've been trying very hard to teach C the piano too but somehow she still can't grasp the whole concept... she can't follow :(
Hi Chloe's Mommy, I guess probably you need a teacher to "start engine" or "unlock" first before you do. It is funny, sometimes we just had to spend money, then it only works.

Amazing. Shenny is talented leh. I'm thinking to enrol Gwen to Musikgarten when we are back to Msia for good.
Play by hearing, that's very good! She might be gifted in music, love her smile when she play the songs. Obviouly, she really enjoys playing the synthesizer!

My observation, and please correct me if I'm wrong.
Musicgarten 2 hands playing does not use the left hand to play the chords but instead play the same tune as the right on on lower chords?

You are very observant.
Shenny now is in MMKB level 1, more concentrate to play with two hands in same keys and less chord. At MMKB level 2, she will be introduce more chords.
Actually, it is quite challenging to play with two hands in same tune, not many children can do it in a very short period. Her music teacher gives remark that Shenny is the only one among her students for 4 year old group, can immediately play in two hands. I feel very blessed for that. :)
Shenny is good at that for her age! And she's very sporting to perform for her mommy to video her too! GOod job, Shenny!
