A BIG Birthday Treat

It had been a month long mommy didn't have time to post any new blog. In fact, this is a backdated post too. It happened in end of April 2011.

Mommy's 2nd brother (Shenny's uncle) invited our family to join 2 day 1 night Star Cruise in Penang on his birthday.  Although Shenny had had some cruise experiences before (especially when she was in The Netherlands) but this was her first time to stay a night on a cruise.  She was especially excited about it.  Thanks for her uncle's generous invitation. 
In order to join the cruise, Shenny and mommy took a flight to hometown.  Papa didn't follow along because it was a short notice.
For details, mommy thought just let photos tell it better.

Shenny and mommy took Putera LRT to KL Central.

We saw a big advertisement about cruise next to Port Terminal.

This was the big ship Shenny stay overnight.

Shenny, mommy and popo (mommy's mommy) slept in this cabin. Although the cabin was small but quite cosy.

Ballet Rehearsal (2011)

Shenny recently had her ballet exam.  Before actual exam, her ballet school ran a pre-exam and all parents were invited to sit in but not the actual exam. 
Both papa and mommy realized that it was not easy for a kid at 6 year old to remember so many steps to make their dance success.  Apart felt proud with our girl, Shenny and also appreciated efforts her teacher had put in to make the whole process a success.

One of requirements to attend the exam was that student had to tie their hair into buns with hair net.  Since Shenny's hair was rather short and mommy was not expert to tie hair, therefore, mommy had to ask her ballet teacher to help.  Her teacher had to use a lot of hair gel and spray to make her hair stick nicely.

Below were some video clips taken on actual exam day which Shenny's teacher asked them to do some warm up dance and that was clear because mommy videod it with camera.  While for the imaginative sailor dances were taken with papa's handphone during pre-exam session, therefore, not so clear.

Make a Castle

Actually, Shenny had been looking forward to do art and craft at home few weeks ago.  Whenever we went out for shopping during weekends, she would ask us to go home quick, so that she could do some art and craft at home.  However, always we ended up spend the whole day outside. 
And, it was long weekends last week (because of labour day, both mommy and papa had Monday off) and finally we could spend one whole day just stay at home. 

Shenny woke up very early on Monday even it was public holiday.  Mommy thought to sleep a bit longer and asked her to get back to bed, but she refused.  She would like to stay alone at living room.  So, mommy had no choice, had to wake up to prepare breakfast for her.  After having breakfast and shower, she requested mommy to give her one box and eight toilet rolls.  She told mommy that she would like to make a castle.  She learnt that from "Mr Maker" from one of children program on tv.  So, without much help from mommy, Shenny prepared rest of necessary stuff eg, lay newspaper on coffee table, take out scissor, glue and paint.

Somehow, it was difficult to put color on the box.

Although the castle looks dirty cum ugly, but Shenny felt very satisfied to be able to make a castle for herself.

A Day at Cyberjaya and Putrajaya

This is a backdated post.

One of the weekends, papa drove mommy and Shenny to Cyberjaya since we had never been there.  We spent a day there.

Actually, there was not many things to see in Cyberjaya.  We saw many office buidings, a university and apartments. While we were driving around, we found out there was a big park, quite beautiful.  And we decided to explore the park but it was very hot.

Shenny requested to allow her to carry her little umbrella but she used it for a while only.  Mommy had to help her carry it because she could not carry umbrella while exciting at the playground.

What we see in the park?

Shenny spent almost an hour at this big playground.

 We walked over a bridge to reach a small island in the middle of the lake.  There were many lotus flowers in the pond.

Mommy spoted a hanging bird nest from afar.

 
After that, we decided to go further to Putrajaya since it was nearby.  Shenny was excited when we told her there was a cruise at Putrajaya, and she get to cruise before when she was smaller.  Then, she asked us to take her for cruise again.  However, by the time we reached Putrajaya, it was nearly 6pm, we were late for cruise.

We managed to explore few places in Putrajaya near its big lake and also visited the Alamanda Shopping center for dinner.  Hehe, we spent nearly 30 minutes to locate the shopping center.  We looked for it from Precint 1 to Precint 16.  It is in Precint 16 if anyone happens want to visit the shopping center there.

The Alamanda Shopping center is not big shopping center, and it has both Parkson and Carrefour there.  After having our dinner there, we headed home around 9.30pm.

Sing at swing AGAIN !

Shenny requested papa to record her sing when she swing at a park in Cyberjaya.

She said: "I want to see the difference, how I sing last time when I was a baby."

Mommy dug out this interesting video clip of Shenny singing few songs while playing at swing in KLCC park.  She was 23 month and 3 week old. 
Mommy likes her baby voice so much.  It makes mommy miss her "toddler-hood" so much.

Funny Chat (Part 6)

Chat 1
On the first day of Chinese New Year, Shenny followed papa and mommy to have reunion lunch with uncles and aunties.  Shenny was happy because she could receive lots of ang pau there.

When we came back from lunch, Shenny quickly checked her ang paus.  She happily said "hehe...I will be rich." Papa overheard her say so and smiled at her.  She then added.."If papa's money get lesser, I could let him my money." Papa was so happy to find her daughter is so generous to him.


Chat 2
One day, we had dinner at a restaurant which served fish head noodles and thai food cuisine.

Since Shenny was sick, we ordered her a bowl of fish cake noodle. Both papa and mommy took this opportunity to order spicy thai food.

While eating her noodle, Shenny poked one piece of fish cake and joking said.."Ha..I know how to make fish ball." Both mommy and papa were curious, and asked her to tell us.  She said..."Let fish eat a ball, it will turn to fish ball oh." Both mommy and papa laughed for her absurb imagination.


Chat 3
Yesterday,  mommy drove Shenny to a petro station to pump tyres.
As usual, mommy left Shenny inside the car with all windows up and instructed her to lock car.
When mommy got back into car, mommy quickly hold my breath and cough because it  had a very stinky smell inside the car.  Mommy immediately asked Shenny: "Did you fart?"
Shenny calmly replied:"Yes, I fart". Mommy then quickly winded down windows to let smells go out.
Mommy reminded her again to pass motion once we reached home.

At night, mommy mentioned this to papa and described Shenny just like a skunk. 
Shenny quicky said: "I always wish to be a skunk.  If bad people come, then I will fart at them until they fainted or some of their teeth will go away."


Chat 4
One day, Shenny shared with mommy what she found out from her teacher.

Shenny: "Do you know "pass motion" also means 'poo poo' ?"
Mommy: "Yes"
Shenny: "Pass urine means 'shi..shi' "
Mommy: "Who tell you all these?"
Shenny: "My teacher lor"
Mommy: "Do you know what is 'pass air' ?"
Shenny looked puzzle at mommy: "I don't know"
Mommy hinted her: "Air comes out from your buttock"
Shenny: "Do you mean 'fart' ?"
Mommy: "Yes"
Shenny:"Are you sure?"
Mommy:"Well,  you can check with your teacher."
Shenny laugh : "Hahaha...No"
