Halloween Charity Party 2010

Backdated post.

On 4th December 2010, Shenny's ballet school organized a Halloween Charity Party.  All classes took part in the dance performance. 
Shenny was very excited with this event because finally she could dance on stage again for this year, since she didn't get to do it in her kindergarten.

Her class would perform a "Monster" dance for the event.  In order to have the event smooth running, the participant classes would have to do lots of practices one month before that.  Shenny's class had no exception.  She had to come to class to practice twice a week ( 3 hours in total).

Although the school had advised parents to dress halloween costume, but not many parents did so including mommy and papa. 
On that day, Shenny was told to reach the venue 2pm in afternoon though the event only began at 8pm.  Teachers would have to prepare students things like familiar with stages, make up and dress up.  They were many make-up artists there too.

Shenny likes her make-up especially the drawings on her face. 

She asked mommy not to wash her face because she wanted to keep this till tomorrow to show her cousins.

Ballet lesson (2)

After few weeks observation, finally mommy decided to purchase tutu dress and ballet shoes for Shenny. She was so excited when I first put that on for her.

Why does mommy decide to get her ballet dress and shoes? The reason is that Shenny has shown her interest and commitment to the class. She always looks forwards to come to the ballet class. Mommy feels so relief that she has no more complaints about tiredness and soreness after the lesson.

She likes to watch elder group dance before or after her class. Mommy guess that could be the reason to make her begin to build dreams to be like them in future.

Once, mommy was surprised to hear her compliments. She said..."My hands and legs grows longer and slimmer like jie jie (refer to those older ballet students)." And she will then stretch her hands and legs to show me what she means.

Also, occasionally, Shenny will tell mommy and papa she can do this and do that already (eg. stretching her legs wider and hold longer).

Ballet lesson (1)

Since Shenny likes to run and jump so much like boy, I decide to send her to Ballet class. Hope that she will learn to behave gentle a bit like girl. However, Sing does not agree with my idea.
All little girls have put on their toto dress except Shenny. Shenny does ask me to get one for her. I told her I will decide this later. I promise will get her toto dress and a pair of ballet shoe if she always follows teacher instruction in the class and also show her interest in the lesson.
Sometimes Shenny acts differently from what teacher ask her to do. Ha..other children behave the same too. Actually some posts which teacher ask them to do are quite painful especially they are asked to hold similar post for a while.
