Shenny recently had her ballet exam. Before actual exam, her ballet school ran a pre-exam and all parents were invited to sit in but not the actual exam.
Both papa and mommy realized that it was not easy for a kid at 6 year old to remember so many steps to make their dance success. Apart felt proud with our girl, Shenny and also appreciated efforts her teacher had put in to make the whole process a success.
One of requirements to attend the exam was that student had to tie their hair into buns with hair net. Since Shenny's hair was rather short and mommy was not expert to tie hair, therefore, mommy had to ask her ballet teacher to help. Her teacher had to use a lot of hair gel and spray to make her hair stick nicely.

Below were some video clips taken on actual exam day which Shenny's teacher asked them to do some warm up dance and that was clear because mommy videod it with camera. While for the imaginative sailor dances were taken with papa's handphone during pre-exam session, therefore, not so clear.

Yeah, it's not easy for a 6yo to remember so many dance steps. Shenny is really good and this shows her passion in music and arts. Well done, girl! :)
P.S: Chloe was very interested in watching Shenny's videos. After watching all, I asked her if she wanted to learn ballet, she still stubborn said NO :( I always show her Shenny's videos, still hoping to motivate her someday... :)

Shenny looked so sweet and pretty in her ballet costume. She danced really well. Make me wanna enrol Gwen to a Ballet class..hehe.

Btw, even during actual exam, parents are allowed to be in the exam hall to do the recording?

Ballet dancing is one of my frustrations. I wish I learned when I was little. It was so nice to look at those little girls gracefully dancing. Shenny is one great dancer.
She has so much grace in her dancing.

Shenny's mom, I wonder what is the meaning of snapping fingers action in the first video (Rehearsal Flower Dance)?

I guess this is to train their fingers to make grace movement. And, Shenny will be given some flowers in actual performance.
