First Snow Experience in Holland

Shenny had her first snow experience in Holland on last 28 December 2014 after her 9 years of visiting there.
Shenny felt very excited and fortunate for this time.  Previously, she missed snow either it came before she arrived or after she left Holland.  And this year, she was right at it.

She got chance to build her own snowman and sings "Do you want to build a snowman" with her snowman. (video below)

She took this opportunity to sing and play her ukulele in the snow, please view the videos below:

1) Played Jingle Bell.

2) Wishing everyone Merry Chrismas and Happy New Year

Her Jewellery Tree

Last Saturday (3/3/2012), Shenny complained to mommy that she had not got chance to do art and craft at home for a very long time already.  Instead of going out, she requested to stay at home on Saturday afternoon.

Shenny wanted to work on jewellery tree, the Christmas present she received last year (<<click here>>).  That reminded mommy of the mission that need to be completed before next Christmas come.  Mommy immediately granted Shenny's request.

For this mission, it took two days to complete.  Shenny worked rather slow this time.  Mommy had to lend some hand for her, else it might take even longer.

Here are some shots of work progress:

First step, Shenny chose to paint pink and red colour on each wooden tree model.

Second step, she slot the two wooden model across each other to form a tree.
Third step, Shenny painted some spots on wooden model to look like leaves and made some spot on tree trunk too.
Fourth step, Shenny applied super-glue on each spot, so that she could stick twinkling/sparkling stuff to design the tree.  To do all these, Shenny worked a bit slow, that's why mommy came to help.
Finally, Shenny posed with her jewellery tree.
Jewellery tree hung with some Shenny's hand accessories.

Her 2011 Christmas Presents

This is a very backdated post.

During our last year visit to The Netherlands, Shenny had received few Christmas presents from her grandmother, uncle (Shuk Shuk) and aunties.

Below are the presents she got:

This is the present from her grandma: A little smurf house and some accessories.
Her youngest uncle (shuk shuk) bought her a simple robot hamster which can move forward or backward when hit things, talk and sleep when it is tired.  Shenny immediately pronounced her dream had come true as she finally got a pet.  She didn't mind her pet is a robot.
Her eldest aunty (papa's sister) gave her a full tea-set with Hello Kitty printed on it.  She was glad that she could use this to serve her children (her soft toys) in proper ways.

Aunty Yee Wah (papa's cousin) had bought her a set of DIY jewellery box.

Aunty Yee Ping (papa's cousin) had bought her a DIY jewellery tree.
Shenny loves to do art & craft, she was looking forward to make her hand dirty to complete the above mission, so that she could keep her jewelleries.
Regrettly to say that, the above mission is just completed by 50% only.

Christmas Present and Cutting

Aunty Yee Wah from The Netherlands gave Shenny an Advent Calendar and some bracelets as christmas presents when her visit to Malaysia early December last year (2009).

Advent Calendar - Shenny gotta chance to eat chocolates almost every day before Christmas. She would unseal each box inside the calendar each day according to date, to take out the chocolate and eat.

Bracelets - Shenny would ask mommy to let her wear the bracelet if she remembers before go out

On the back of advent calendar, there are some princess pictures. Shenny told mommy that she would like to cut out those princess pictures when the chocolates are finished.
Finally, Shenny finished all 24 days of mini chocolates on 9th January 2010. When mommy was about to throw away the advent calendar, Shenny quickly reminded mommy about the pictures at the back. So, mommy kept that for her.

On next day of Sunday morning, Shenny asked permission to cut the princess pictures. Then mommy let her do it. After a while, Shenny suddenly came to mommy and said "Mommy, I accidentally cut my dress." But mommy was not agree with her excuses and asked her "How come? Can you tell me how did you accidentally cut your dress?" Then Shenny began to cry and could not answer.
Then, mommy told her "Let me take the picture and show Chii Chii jie jie since the dress is from her. I think she would be very upset." Shenny just kept on crying. Mommy saw her eyes with tears and could not continue to question her anymore. So, mommy could not tell whether she did it on purpose or really accident as she claimed...OO;

The hole is about 1cm big, pointer indicated.

Some done and undone princesses pictures cutting.

Later on, mommy asked Shenny "Do you want to continue cutting?" She replied "Don't want. My hand is sore."

Christmas 2009

This year we had a rather special Christmas celebration because we celebrated my mother's 61st birthday and Christmas together. All my brothers and sisters (6 families including my family) gathered in Penang Islands on Christmas Eve. My sister-in-law had booked 4 two bedroom-suites in the Gurney Hotel for one-night stay.

Before dinner, we headed to swimming pool to have some fun.

Posted at the swimming pool with my father. Shenny stood next to her grandpa.

Shenny and some cousins had fun in the bath tub in the room.

Little performance at the hotel

First, we had dinner at the Maple Palace Restaurant and celebrated my mother's birthday there.

All children surrounded grandmom for birthday song. Not all in this picture including Shenny.

Next, we headed to Karaoke lounge. There, my sister-in-law had specially hired a professional magician to perform for children in the Karaoke lounge. This took about 1 hour. Then, only singing sessions began.
Finally, we had gift exchange sessions.

Both my mother and father sang.

Shenny and her cousins sang "little donkey".

Children enjoyed watching magician performance.

Children were looking for their presents. Shenny's present were a Dough Stamp from FisherPrice.

All of us had fun in the Karaoke lounge till 2am midnite, then we headed back to the hotel. Surprisingly, none of children felt tired till we put them into bed around 3am.

The next day, we had the family photo at the photo studio.

My parents took photo with all their grandchildren. They are 15 of them now, and the number still increases. In chinese saying...子孙满堂...
