Different Kind of Holiday Fun - Meet Ukulele Masters

Shenny and her Ukulele Sunshine Group headed north to Penang during last March school holiday (28/3/13 - 31/3/13).  Not all the members were able to make it.  However, there were a total of 30 persons to visit Penang this time.
The reason for us to head north was to meet up with Hawaiian Ukulele Master Mr. Kimo Hussey and Taiwanese Ukulele Master Mr. David Chen.  They were invited by Mr. Chew (the owner of Manuel Ukulele) to come to Penang Island to run workshops as well as hold a solo concert at Wawasan Open University.  And, Shenny and her group were given opportunity to perform on the same stage with them too as a pre event concert.

Indeed, this is an exciting trip with lots of knowledge gained from the two Ukulele Masters.
Mommy would like to thank teacher Kelly for organizing this trip and also thanks her for driving us to Penang (4 hours to Penang and 9 hours from Penang).  We had a few cars go to Penang but mommy and Shenny took a lift from teacher Kelly's car.  Papa didn't come with us.

28/3/13 - First day activities -
1 & 2 & 3 -> Quick rehearsal in the hotel room group photos at Wawasan Open University's main entrance

30/3/13 - Third day activities - Attending Mr. Kimo Hussey's workshops and get autograph from him.

pool fun, makan makan, ukulele jamming at pool side and inside the hotel room, 
sleep with friends in the same room and sight seeing.

Its a beautiful day and birds are singing and the air is full of pretty insects. But, there is a thing that I need to tell you...even it is Holiday we still need to go and work...................................

Mommy found this piece of write-up in Shenny's school bag recently. Actually, this was written in her last school holiday in August.
She and her friends (Qi Xuan and Su Zhi Yi) still have to go to their daycare teacher house and do their business (work/tuition) as usual even that is their school break.

Hmmm, what do they do normally at their daycare teacher house?
Actually, when they are at daycare teacher house, they sometimes help their teacher to do some house chores for example hanging clothes, rearranging bookshelf, cleansing balcony and etc...
And, they also have their quiet reading time, tv time, playtime and tuitions. Even sometimes, the teacher also bring them to swimming pool for a dip.
Mommy thought this is still not too bad as compared to other daycare centre. Shenny gets to learn something else outside from books.

One of Shenny's this school holiday activities is to draw.  Shenny prefers to draw than coloring. 
Below are few drawings made.

This drawing is for her cousins; Emily and Xuan Xuan.  Hehe..however, mommy kept the drawing after her cousins saw it. The reason is that they might not keep the drawing after a while.  So, it is better mommy help them to keep it.

This drawing is made given to her grandmother who lives in The Netherlands.

A duck says "Mimo".  A child rode on a lion.  The lion says: "I am Lios".

Children saw a monster.

Funny trees. Leaves flew everywhere.
