Shenny had her first solo recital at her music school (Ideal Music). She played piano, ukulele and sang songs.
We had about 75 audiences and the sale of tickets is donated to an orphanage.

Shenny and her Ukulele Sunshine Kid team get to join with teacher Kelly Teh for the live interview at NTV7 Good Morning Tai Tai (活力早晨) . The live interview was done on 18 September 2014 (8am).
On that day, all of them arrived at the NTV7 office by 6.45am.
Before the interview, they had some light make-up and rehearsal. The NTV7 staff and mc were very friendly to them.

Shenny and her Ukulele Sunshine Kids took part in Persatuan Pencinta Muzik Ukulele Malaysia (PPMUM) Ukulele Flashmob @ Nexus, Bangsar South City on 13th September 2014.
PPMUM was invited to perform for the grand opening of Nexus at Bangsar South.
It was about 60++ people join the flashmob.
Shenny and the group were very excited as this was the first public event organize run in flashmob style. Hopefully, there will be more such event in future.
Shenny and her friends ranging from Age 6 to 8 years old, started to learn ukulele since August 22, 2012, barely 3 months ago and they get to perform for their first Public Performance on STAGE at The Actors Studio (at Lot 10 - Rooftop), Kuala Lumpur for Halloween Concert by KLPAC Junior String Ensembles conducted by Mr. Takahisa Ota on 30th and 31st October 2012.
This was a surprise performance for the audience as it was not listed in the performance list. And the organizer was glad that the audience loved it.
Before the performance, the Emcee approached Shenny and luckily she was able to introduce the songs confidently.
Two performance song are Twinkle Twinkle Little Star in three languages and Pearly Shell.
Another performance song is You Are My Sunshine.
And their next coming up performance will be at KLPAC on 17th November (8.00pm) and 18th November(2.30pm). On that day, they will perform more songs with the Ukulele Sunshine Adults. They will perform at the lobby before the KLPAC Orchestra "Winter Concert 2012" begins. For those interested, you may drop by KLPAC either these two days.
And their next next appearance will be at Wisma Bentley Music, Mutiara Damansara on 24th November 2012 for "Love Is Hope" Charity Concert.

Shenny and her friends made their first maiden Ukulele public performance at the Event of A Century Moonlight in Petaling Street in conjunction with the Mooncake Festival on 16 Sept 2012. Teacher Kelly Teh has named their group as Ukulele Sunshine Kids.
And they were being featuring in the NTV7 News at 10.30pm on that day.
And this was the recordings of their performance on that night.
They had presented three songs: Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, You Are My Sunshine, It's A Small World.

人山人海。。但我们的四铉琴阳光孩子一点也不怯場..The Petaling Street is full of locals and tourists...but Shenny and her group Ukulele Sunshine Kids were not having any stage fright at all
Interviewed by NTV7 reporter, but it was not shown on the news
Shenny and few other friends were picked to perform at Japan Club Kuala Lumpur on 18th February 2012.
How did they get chosen? A musician from Japan Club came to Shenny's music school to do auditions. There were about 10 students enrolled for audition but only four get chosen, ages range 7, 8, 12 and 14. Shenny was the youngest.
Before performance, Shenny and her friends were all nervous a bit. Mommy was a bit worried too because Shenny was the first one to perform among her team. Luckily, her performance was very smooth, so do the rest. Phew!

This was a very very backdated post. Mommy should have posted it 6 months ago.
Shenny wrote these two song lyrics totally based on her own understanding and she did it in a fun way. She gave these to her music teacher.
Shenny made this heartfelt drawing for her beloved music teacher, Kelly, after two years learning music from her.
Shenny will move on to her real piano lesson next month onwards. And her new coaching teacher will be different.
Shenny's teacher, Kelly was really surprise and asked mommy whether I helped her to come out idea in drawing. Mommy's answer was "No". This drawing was from her own imagination. The only papa hinted Shenny was that she needed to draw something that related to her teacher.
Below is the explanation of Shenny of her picture (which carries some stories). " My music techer kelly and her hasband were married and they lived in a castle. Everyday, the castle will have rainbow to say "good morning", "good afternoon" and "good night". The castle is very special because it is golden.
And they grow flowers, so that they could see butterflies. But there are not any butterfly there because they have gone with their honey. "
Shenny overheard My Grandfather's Clock song in car when mommy sent her to kindy two days ago.
She told mommy that her ballet teacher used the song to teach them dance. There was no singing, only music. Now, she was happy that she get to know how to sing the song now.
On that night itself, out of surprise, she played this song to mommy.
Shenny played these two songs during Chinese New Year eve early in the morning.
She was happy that she could practice her songs on real piano at her grandparents' house because she only had keyboard at home.
Both songs were taught by her music teacher (Kelly).
Jingle Bells was played according to piano lyrics (to prepare her to take up real piano lesson next month), while Of The Spring (大地回春), Shenny learnt by hearing although her teacher was kind enough to write the lyrics in her own special way, so that her students could pick up the song.

Finally, Shenny is able to play Not So Hard full song at age of 4. Ha..one week before she reaches 5 year old. Many thanks to her music teacher, Kelly for her guidance.
Mommy was told Not So Hard song is taught in Gred 3 in piano lesson. Teacher Kelly would like to test the capability of her Musikgarten students age range 4, 5 and 6, therefore, she taught this song purposely to see how far they could go. Shenny is the only one in 4 year old in the test.
This song is quite long, so teacher Kelly taught the song in 3 stages. All learnt by ear.
Shenny could play the song quite fast in first 2 stages. She missed two music class lesson during school holiday because follow mommy go back hometown. However, Shenny was still very eager to play the song even in granny's house. She listened to the song in youtube.com many times. Then, she figured out keys by herself, but not so smooth.
When she was back to the music class, teacher Kelly pointed out her mistake and guided her. Her mistake was wrongly position her fingers on keyboard that hinder her from making the song smooth.
When she practiced at home, she ever complaint "I can not control my fingers, they do not listen to me.". However, mommy kept on encouraging her and asked her to practice more to make it perfect.
YEAH, Shenny made it at last.
Mommy quickly recorded it, put up in youtube, and email her teacher. Her teacher was happy and would like mommy to convey below message to Shenny:
Tell Shen Ny is proven that PRACTICE and PRACTICE and PRACTICE , one can overcome whatever problems/mistake/wrong fingers/rhythm in music learning....
Shenny's music teacher, Kelly has invited her students to attend An Evening of Opera Arias and Art Songs organized by ASWARA (Akademi Seni Budayadan Warisan Kebangsaan) in Panggung DBKL on last monday (24/5/2010). This was the FIRST Vocal Recital performed by ASWARA's vocal lecturers. The concert is aimed to cultivate more youngster into Classical Singing.
Mommy found this is very interesting. Mommy believes this would be not only an eye opener for Shenny to expose into classical music, also to see how a pianist play his song accompanied by a singer.
When mommy told papa, papa immediately agreed to take us to watch. Haha..Shenny was extremely excited about this and kept on asking mommy the same question for a few days whether the opera coming near.

Mommy found out Shenny was the only student to attend the opera on that day. The entrance fee is very cheap; RM10 for adult, RM5 for children. The opera had a full house and it ran successfully. Shenny enjoyed the opera very much.
Encik Amri Zane,BARITONE on Mozart's Die Zauberflote. The pianist teacher, Mr Wong Chee Yean has just graduated from Indiana University in USA.
Shenny likes Encik Amri Zane's singing. She kept on smiling when listening to his singing from begining to end. Mommy asked Shenny why she seems very happy. Shenny then whispered in mommy's ear said : "He is so handsome. I like his singing." Haha...both papa and mommy jokingly told Shenny that he likes old man.

A cappella on song entitled Lady, Your Eye my Love Enforced by Cik Syafinaz Selamat, Cik Dia Fadilla, Encik Fairuz Zamani and Encik Amri Zane. ** Mommy would put up another two beautiful vocal lecturers performing once teacher Kelly get approval from them.
It was 7 months since Shenny began her keyboard lesson through Musikgarten Programme. She now could play more than 10 songs.

Ode To Joy (full song). Earlier Shenny could play first half the song, mommy has posted it earlier: Keyboard Lessons Update (2). Surprisingly she figures out herself to play the rest of song after listening few times to the song.
Shenny has started her keyboard lesson through Musikgarten programme since November 2009 (three months already). Mommy would like to do some updates.
Shenny likes her music lesson very much and she wishes that she has the music class everyday.
Mommy is very happy with Shenny's progress so far. She does not need mommy to ask her to practice her songs. She will practice herself everyday.
Actually, she does not need to spend long time to practice. She only spends five or ten minutes to play her songs each time. And she does it few times in a day. Mommy thinks that she really likes music. Mommy hopes that her music enthusiasm can persist for very long time.
Mommy would like to share some little songs which Shenny were taught in the class.
For these 3 months, her music teacher has taught her 6 songs, and here mommy only manages to upload 4 songs only.
